Movember

I already have one of the most amazing handlebar moustaches in the country so I don't participate in Movember but I do support blokes who do it.

Fair dues to those blokes who shy away from this event each year. Very few men have the awesomeness needed to strut about with the kind of fabulous face-spanning upperlipholstery that I possess.

Don't worry, I've got this one for you all, sweetcheeks.

Movember predates the bearded, skinny jeans wearing, £10 bowl of cornflakes eating fashion by about half a decade and the Handlebar Club has been going for 70 years.

Fair dues though, ridicule some blokes having a stab at raising some money for men's charities while happily chucking money at your wives' mates doing the Race For Life (you wouldn't dare not).

Like I said, there was some easy folding money waiting for anyone who wanted to have a crack at this.

I'll just spend it on sponsoring a dancing bear or handicapped donkey now. You know, real worthy causes.

What an odd thread this turned out to be.

Personally I just donate on the website.

Don't bother sponsoring people or anything.

As to growing a moustache being lazy.

I find it easier to shave my entire face rather than trying to avoid moustache or other facial hair.
Especially if one has a goatee for example.

I've just got rid of my goatee. It is definitely more work now c/f with shaving half my face.

But, I have done Movember in the past, and this year I'm sponsoring a lad at work, who sprouts at a prodigious rate, so I expect something fairly impressive from him in 27 days time.

It's meant to be a fun thing, a bit of a laugh, something that you can take the piss out of while supporting a really good cause. Perhaps some people forget that.
