New to wet shaving advice please

There is a good choice of TfOBS creams at their shop in Jermyn Street near Green Park tube. You can check out the fragrances before buying. That Murdock kit is expensive but you are on a learning journey. The razor is probably an Edwin Jagger DE87 with Murdock printing on it. Try a few different blades and keep working on the technique. The Maseto Silvertip badger brushes are great value for money; available from their ebay shop. The 24mm knot would be a good start.
 
You really did pay 110 GBP for that stuff, and without a brush also?? Good god, I mean, like, really? Whoever sells such crap at such prices should be thrown into a cold, dark dungeon. That's nothing but ripping off people.

My offer stands: I would throw a packet including the following your way, at a real reasonable price, if you wanted to:

- Edwin Jagger DE89, used <5 times
- a pack of either Personna Platinum, Polsilver, PermaSharp blades
- Proraso Green shaving cream, new
- Palmolive shaving cream, new
- choice of either Stirling 22x51 or 26x54 Plissoft Synthie brush, used <5 times
- Proraso Green After Shave, new
