I find them more comfortable, get far fewer nicks and I need to do less touching up for just as close a shave, but then we're all built differently I suppose, YMMV as you guys would say (thanks again @GordyC, I now know what this means!) I'm sure I try your other blade recommendations at some point in the not to distant future.

Very true ymmv, think experience helps with the feather blade personally I stayed away from it until I gained experience then when I got around to using it I found the perfect combo. Hope you haven't put yourself off , maybe it's one to come back to in the future. In my opinion there is no right and wrong it's all about what works for you and if you enjoy it that's what matters. Have fun it's a great hobby
