Closed ***Ended*** Pass Around: Schick Adjustable Injector ***Ended***

I've used the razor a few times now, and here are some thoughts. It's the first time I've used any kind of SE razor, let alone an injector, so was concerned about whether there would be a learning curve. Not so - it's a very intuitive razor to use; I got the angles straight away, and it's much more manoeuvrable than a DE with the slimmer head. I found it helped to put a bit of pressure on the razor head, as that felt necessary for such a lightweight razor.

The main issue for me is the closeness of the shave. The first was at just under 4 and was extremely smooth, but by the evening I had to shave again - something I very rarely do. I've since been using it on max and the shaves are OK, but not stellar. I'd put it on or just above the same level as my SuperSpeeds, which are my mildest DEs, but below my preferred open combs such as the Fatip Piccolo. In fairness, I should say that it performs better than all my razors in dealing with the bit right under the jawline where the hairs are the toughest and hardest to reach properly! So while it may not be my go-to razor, it could be ideal for touch-ups in difficult areas such as this.

This leaves me with one question: how mild/assertive are the non-adjustable injectors? I might be tempted to look for one if some of the models are towards the assertive end of the spectrum, but not if they're regarded as mild shavers.

Anyway, @riverrun and @Steve Bowles , thank you for your generosity and giving me the opportunity to have a try with the razor. Please advise what you would like to do next, as I don't see anyone else on the list. I can clean it up and hang on to it to forward when someone else wants a go, or return it to you. If the latter, PM me an address and I'll get it on its way.

Thanks again!
The earlier injectors are more aggressive. Type E or G for example. So are the PAL injectors. Later Schick injectors (Type I onwards) are milder but I'd compare them to an Adjustable at the more aggressive end. Personally I can't see the point of the milder settings of the Adjustable. I always crank it up to maximum and find it similar to my I, J or N types.
You've missed ↪this post. Next on the list is @Burgundy.

Received safely and in good condition. I've loaded it with a Chick and look forward to shaving with it tonight.
First shave chalked up. I think I need one.
Thanks. That's why you should try one, if you haven't yet. The list is open and there is almost no waiting time....

They are different but give an excellent shave. How are the non adjustables in comparison? I feel these adjustables are best cranked up quite high and then they give a smooth efficient shave. The lower settings are a tad too mild. I would get a non adjustable if on the efficient side too at some point @Blademonkey I may take your offer up when I have some spare cash.

Give me a shout if you need me :)

The Schick Adjustable will stay with @Burgundy until someone else wants it. No waiting time!

Great, thanks for the info on what to look out for if I want to get hold of one of these for myself.

Apologies, I had indeed failed to spot that someone else was on the list: @Burgundy , PM me your address and I will send it on.
You will find that the Schick Adjustable is best used with a Twin Blade, for which it was designed. Very
Mild with a single blade. For me with a Twin is very close, but too clinical. Give me a PAL any day.
