Is there still a sizeable Italian community in Glasgow?

Very much so - Glasgow and the west of Scotland - a very positive influence on life here - they didn't seem to take the hump with the whole shameful interment thing. I know several Scots-Italians. One of whom was a lawyer and the Italian consul in Glasgow - he now lives in Barbados - where he produces rum from his estate and runs a jazz club. Nice lifestyle - apart from the jazz - obviously. Cheers - I.

Thanks Iain. I grew up in one of North London's many ‘little Italy's' and several of my friends were of Italian descent. I spent most of my teenage years lusting after their older sisters.

Dangerous occupation that! My parents are from Wood Green and there was a sizeable Italian community there. In fact my sister and I both have/had Italian godparents.
