The moment when you realise that Martin de Candre is the answer to everything.

Thursday 28th June

Pears Glycerine Soap
Proraso Green Tea and Oatmeal Preshave Cream
De Vergulde Hand Soap
Semogue SOC Boar in Ash
Ming Shi 2000S Razor (3, 4.5, 5.5) with a Supermax Stainless Blade
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aloe Vera Gel
Agua Lavanda Puig Cologne
Worth pour Homme EDT

I bought the Supermax blades many years ago and they are by no means anywhere ner the sharpness of some I own ......however by using an adjustable......they have found a new lease of life.
Three passes for a wonderfully smooth and close shave:)

Brush: Frank Shaving 20mm Best Badger
Cream: Tri-Coastal Design Milagu Black
Razor: Gillette Super Blue (Chinese Tech), shimmed, on RazoRock bamboo SS handle
Blade: Tiger Superior Stainless (2)

This cream is nice and cooling (despite a complete absence of menthol so far as I can tell), so ideal for this kind of weather. Everything else is a known and trusted quality, and as expected a lovely shave has ensued.

Happy shaving.

Cyril Salter French Vetiver ~ Semogue Owners Club ~ Schick Injector ~ Proraso Sensitive Balm

First shave with a Schick... Hmm I'm not sold on it. For me it seems to be a slightly more aggressive BIC disposable (albeit with replaceable blades, of course.) They handle the same, require the same angle, same slight pressure and for me, considering the cost of replacement blades its not worth it as the end result is no better.
