A comfortable, close shave this morning, but on it's fifth shave the Gillette blade was beginning to lose it's edge. I must remember to change the blade after three shaves, no matter how much I am enjoying the razor. Variety keeps the interest up.

This shave was so themed ' @Tony'schin you're garbage'

Tony's rubbish razor - Stainless Colonial V2
Fit for the bin blade - Feather Super Professional
Waste brush - whiskey barrel
Trashy soap - Alvarez Gomez
Council tip scent - Alvarez Gomez

Shit! Writing all that has just reminded me it is the General waste wheelie bin tomorrow.

You have really upset me today saying how you dislike the V2 handle so much that you replaced it with some distasteful piece of metal. That is like replacing Stan from Laurel and Hardy and renaming the duo Leonid Brezhnev and Hardy. It just doesn't have the same ring. And neither does your handle. As I said earlier this is what I think

In the words of my youngest granddaughter Zuzu, 'Tony, you're poo poo'

After last night's lethal exercise in stripping skin I decided to follow the lead from Tony's last shave except I chose the original handle because....

1) I like it
2) I paid enough for it not to like it
3) To be anti Mr Chin

Other than that it just happens to be one superb razor which doesn't want to peel epidermis away and delivers with utmost comfort. And it did.

I will cry when this tub of Alvarez has gone as there won't be anymore left (unless Boycie has a cupboard load he will try to flog me) and it will become unobtanium. But what a dream of a cream. This evening was no let down. I can't recommend the whiskey barrel brush highly enough. The right balance and a wonderful knot. Everything about it is just right.

So one magnificent shave with the smoothest of results and proud to have a face remaining. And Mrs Satanfriendly has promised to play with my knackers this evening. Happy days! :giggle:

Oh. She meant maracas

Anyway, get your maracas out and enjoy the bizarre 'Bed in'. A little more on show than talent.

As a review read 'how could anyone dislike something as shamelessly trashy as this?'

Tony. Don't be disheartened, I love you like everyone else on here

Today's Shave

Oneblade Genesis
Saponificio Varesino Mirto Di Sardegna Shaving Soap
Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic Bristle*

Result BSS

*First outing with the Chubby 2 Synthetic. It's a nice brush with super soft tips, so soft it's easily the softest tip brush I own, when compared to my Chubby 2 Best Badger they are like chalk and cheese. The Best Badger is scratchy with more backbone, while the Synthetic has backbone its not as much as the Badger mind you, It does share the same traint as the Badger you do have to satisfy the brushes lust for Soap so it's definitely a Chubby. As for the flick test? No jelly wobble as yet and I suspect it'll probably never suffer from it, hell the whole lot just moves as one big mass.

something as shamelessly trashy as this?
Indeed - even the members of Spinal Tap might consider it more 'sexist than sexy.' How much more cleavage - nante. Ken Russell might have considered it lacking in subtlety - have you seen 'The Lair of the White Worm?' - and that is coming from someone that has just listened to the new AC/DC album - who - in comparison render as proto-feminists.. I.

I got the 1st version handle, it nearly put me off buying it, The razor is a top shaver so i can put up with that "thing" of a handle.
I will be sticking some other holding devices onto the V2 head, Why? Because i can.
PS, the version 2 holding thing dont do owt for me either,
I'm sure i have a mangled bit of steel bar lying in the bottom of the scrap bin i can stick on it.;)

Pathetic

No. Just Debbie does Dallas
Much the same thing in instinct I think - except for the accents - but the former lacks a massive homicidal snake - :) - or loads of rapey nuns. Subtle - as I say - most notable for Amanda Donohoe - in her finest milf plumage. Off topic - don't blame me - @Satanfriendly started it. Try this sort of off-road pish on Badger and Blade - and see how long we'd last - not long I'd warrant. That is why we are a better forum - room for expression. Don't even start me on the Shave Nook - yours - I.

There other shaving forums? Jeez I'd be wary of any place called Shaven Nookie or Beavers and blade.

I am finished with this evening's Cognac driven drivel so please do continue with your wonderful SOTD's

Hmm something just didn't work tonight, tried the Carbon titanium handle and found it a bit light and went with the + plate on 2 days growth. With The Watchman I tried a scoop of the soap and it didn't really make the thickest of lather. So both razor and soap all resulting in a bit of irritation. Will try again loading the brush directly and the ++ plate again, the scent on Watchman is great very nautical along the lines of Talbot Okuma.

I used the watchman the other day and gt a wonderful lather but I didn't quite get the scent, Not a bad scent
I just didn't get it really
