Scottish Wet Shave Meet - Dundee

#1
A Traditional Wet Shave Meet is taking place on Sunday 22nd of February 2015 starting at 12.00pm and finishing at 3.00pm at The Gentleman's Groom Room in Dundee, Scotland.

Several years ago we did a few client evenings at the shop, free beer, wine and snacks, good shaving banter, raffle on the night for charity with shaving goodies as prizes and a 10% discount on anything in the shop, which were very successful! And as a number of our customers have requested a return of these events, it was decided to have a Scottish Wet Shave Meet and host on a Sunday this time around.

Pif's and trades welcome so please feel free to bring any shaving related items along, a good chance to offload the half a dozen Darwin razors you happen to have just lying around :icon_razz:

There has been great interest in this event and we are restricting numbers to around fifty. Members of The Shaving Room that are interested please leave a post so we can fully cater for numbers in attendance. Or contact Ian at The Gentleman's Groom Room - Tel - 01382 801504

Put me down as an interested party, if there's room,

Graham
Always room for biscuits!

Thanks Ian, hope to see a few new faces at the meet up.
Added Graham....are Tunnocks Tea Cakes biscuits? I am partial to the odd tea cake or three. :icon_razz: Brian there are also a few guys coming from The Big Shave group, so should be a knowledgeable mix of traditional wet shavers in attendance.

Feel a bit guilty didn't realise you were so close as I'm in Dundee and I've been buying my stuff online.
You could be the excuse to get me going Christmas shopping with the wife :dodgy:
Hi Tony added you to meet , if you do pop into shop be sure to introduce yourself to me.

Kindest regards,
Ian

How did I miss this post Ian! Count me in, I'm looking forward to meeting the other members of the "Tayside Posse"! :)
Added David, 'The Tayside Posse' are a great bunch of guys!! The meet has had a fantastic response to date, with wet shavers from not only Tayside but Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fife and Perthshire planning to be in attendance, even talk of a guy who now works in England heading back home for the weekend to attend! Hopefully this will be the first of what I'm hoping will become an annual Scottish Wet Shave Meet.

Kindest regards,
Ian

PS have you gave your new Chubby 2 an outing yet David?

2 very special Digress razors have been made which we have named the 'Traffic Light Digress' only 2 will ever be made, one short handled and one long handled. The number ring has been replaced with hand painted coloured dots, both razors are the brass version and are housed in a light tan hand stitched leather case. The short handled 'Traffic Light Digress' will be one of the main raffle prizes on the day with proceeds of the raffle going to the Orchid male cancer charity. The long handled one we hope to offer soon in a competition for TSR members.
