SOTD : Saturday 10th. - Friday 16th November. 2018

Wednesday 14th November

Pears Glycerine Soap
Proraso Preshave Cream
Haslinger Honig Shaving Soap (Tallow)
RazoRock 400 Synthetic Brush
Baili BD177 TTO Razor with a Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum
Alum and Rinse
Thayers Witch Hazel
Groomed ASB
Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla AS

I was very pleasantly surprised with just how well this cheap Chinese Razor performed. It is no Weishi and it is no Gillette. At my age I am pretty certain I will not be around to enjoy it in 60 years time....so for here and now....it produced a perfect 3 pass shave without requiring any additional work:)
I think Baili is Rockwell TTO [emoji846]

Wed 14th Nov
Vulfix 404 mixed
Williams Mug soap
PAL Injecto Matic
Schick S/S single
Williams Aqua Velva A/S lotion

Williams Wednesday
Today I used the PAL in order to see whether it shaved better than my E2. Though it is more aggressive,it is very smooth and the finish equals that with the E2. Will carry on and see how things go as the blades lose their edge.

Prep: Face wash with Pears soap
Pre: Proraso White preshave
Soap/Cream: Tabac Cream
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Razor: EJ DE89 Kelvin
Blade: Ladas Super Stainless (1)
Post: Cold water rinse.
ASB: Nivea Sensitive
ASL: Avon Musk

Started off with the new Ladas blade in my Lord L6 but the combination didn't work well so after half the first pass I swapped the blade into the DE89. The difference was like night and day. The blade felt harsh and scratchy in the Lord but lovely and smooth in the DE89. Ended up with a decent shave. Strange how some razor/blade combinations work and some don't.

Have a good evening.

Cheers
Steve

Greetings,

Another excellent 3 pass + pickups near BBS shave with non errors to report. The 98r/Trig stainless duo was excellent, the Trig blade performed wonderfully yet again, with no indication of dulling or dragging on its 4th and final outing..All in all, a comfortable enjoyable shave.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Morrisons ~ Aloe Moisture Lotion.

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling devine.;)
