Prep: Warm shower, Original Source Mint and Tea Tree shower gel, Nivea Sensitive Face Wash then Proraso Eucalyptus Oil and Menthol pre shave cream
Soap: Proraso Green Eucalyptus and Menthol
Brush: ES Medium Jock synthetic
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Super Stainless (4)
Post: Cold rinse, Thayers Witch Hazel with Cucumber then Proraso Aftershave balm Eucalyptus and Menthol.

Saturday working today and I specifically set aside tonight to hone some of my newly acquired DE shaving techniques. Also a chance to try out some new tips and recommendations along the way. For that reason I didn't want to use some of the “better” products I've recently come to possess.

I want to take this opportunity to thank @Blackmass, @Digimonkey, @Oomer and @BartsBalm for the kind gifts. Additionally, I'd like to thank @Mbarn for the use of the Newbie Pass Around Box.

Having read lots of posts in SOTD I went for a menthol evening. Using the Original Source Mint and Tea Tree shower gel and usual Nivea face wash, I applied the Proraso Eucalyptus Oil and Menthol pre shave cream. My skin seems to really like this and my stubble really gets ready for a good shave.

Lathering the Proraso Green soap was effortless with just a little more water added with a wet brush. A nice smooth and clean smelling scent.

After the 1st WTG pass a noticeable amount of stubble was gone. The blade was comfortable and smooth with a nice singing sound.

The 2nd XTG pass I did slightly different. Rather than left ear to right ear, I went nose to ear on each side, doing a similar technique around my goatee area. Again the blade was singing and after a rinse there was another good stubble reduction.

Onto my 3rd and final pass ATG. Starting on my neck I used the same centre out direction. This seems to be a good direction for me. After a rinse my face was BBS but my neck just wasn't as good. I applied a bit more lather for touch ups and buffed my neck. This time going WTG. This seemed to hit the spot.....the blade stopped singing and fell silent. A quick check and my neck was BBS......at last!!!! Doing the same along my jaw line, and likewise - BBS.

I had a skip in my step as I cleaned up and had a cold rinse. A quick splash of Thayers and dab of Proraso Aftershave balm Eucalyptus and Menthol. No weepers. No sting. Just pleasant and smooth. A nice menthol scent with a light spray of Next Code Red EDT to finish. Sorted. Brilliant.

Tonight has been a great shave with my neck the best yet!

Thanks to everyone for the advice given so far!

Have a great Saturday night! [emoji482]

The Super-Max SP/ Sharpy England HD duo was a wonderfully smooth match cutting through my stubble very efficiently. The ingram menthol cream provided me with excellent cooling lather for the shave.I've finally finished the tube, which i've had for well over a 1.5 years, however i've recently aquired another two tubes so i'm well stocked up with this superb shaving cream again.:)

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Floid ~Mentalado Vigoroso A/S Lotion.'.One of my favourite a/s splashes..Superb stuff.

My face is feeling smooth, cool & smelling devine.

Second use of the Streamline and another cracking shave. It's not the most manoeuvrable of razors but thanks to some advice from @Boru62 (“make like a pig”) I was able to get close around the moustache area this time. A very fine Sunday shave. Enjoy your day gents.

A lovely relaxing Sunday morning shave. I've seen on this thread quite a few people don't like this soap.
Well, it can only be the smell they don't like because the soap is one of the best performers out there imo.
