YaqI 24mm Tuxedo Marble Handle
Rockwell 6C plate 4
PolSilver SI (1)
Lavender witch hazel
Floid Mentolado Vigoraso

As it's been quite warm today I decided to try a cold water shave for the first time.
I have to admit, it was a pleasurable experience after I got over the initial shock of rinsing my face with very cold water !
I've always, always suffered with redness on my neck after shaving, but it was much less so after the cold water shave. I'll see if it continues to ease the redness for a few more shaves.
The soap was a sample I got from @Agent Shave along with my order of Floid Vigoroso and Myrsol Lemon that arrived today. It has a very pleasant scent, I think I'll be buying a tub of it before too long.
I didn't really know what to expect from Floid Vigoroso, but I'm very happy with it's scent and performance so far.
Cold water shaving is the way forward, Paul.

Proraso M&E after Shave

A great shave tonight. The iKon handle gives a lovely weight and balance to the 1924 head. The Spitfire gave out its usual thick, slick, protective tallowy goodness and I was rewarded with a tremendously efficient 3 pass shave.

I still think the Proraso M&E is one of the best after shaves in that price range: bracing eucalyptus with a smashing cool menthol burn; and a great post-shave feel.

Blade: Gem SS #4
Razor: Ever Ready 1912 with Stubby Handle
Brush: RR Aluminium with TGN 2 band finest re-knot.
Soap: Stirling Margaritas In The Artic
Post: Thayers Witch Hazel (Cucumber)
EDT: Aqua Di Parma Essenza

The 1912 never ceases to amaze me. A razor that will always be in my rotation. My first SE razor and I have not looked back since.
As soon as you learn the technique to use it the performance is outstanding.

I love the brush, not only is a good looker in my eyes but it has lovely soft tips and great flow through.

Stirling MITA is one of my summer favourites. A great soap with a cooling fresh effect leaving a lovely post shave feel.

Finished with a touch of Essenza.

Enjoy your shaves! :)
Every collection deserves a 1912 or two, Wayne ;)

Aesop serum shave.
Very comfortable but you must keep the stubble wet.

Sotd - Wednesday - 18/4/18

Razor - Mergress (1.5)
blade - Polsilver SI (2)
brush - Simpsons Wee Scot LE - tortoise shell handle
soap - Haslinger Sheep
post - witch hazel
a/s - Nivea 2 in 1.

Result - bbs but a face feeling like a well skelped arse. Good luck with that phrase if you aren't Scottish.

Thanks to K. for minding me to pick up the Wee Scot - quoting - 'The Wee Scot has quite a bit of prickle and scritch' when new - yup - in my experience the prickle goes but the scritch doesn't. It's one of the reasons I like this brush so much. I only face lather - and find the Wee Scot beautifully precise in use. The very opposite of a wall of silver tip badger. In addition it is perfect for using with the diminutive Haslinger pucks. I notice that Simpsons are doing a super badger version at the moment - I'm not sure if that would help the brush - and the rod stock for the handles is just plain ugly - bright garish colours. The price of them? Not for me. So - even - a couple of shaves into my comparison of the Mergress and Rockwell - I know what the result will be - with the former - `i know I have shaved - I can feel it on my face - with the latter - you are thinking - did I put a blade in the razor? Yours - one and all - I.

Better late than never... I'm really getting into this razor (report to come). Efficient sums it up in one word. I thought the baby wash with a high glycerine content would make an ideal pre-shave. Unfortunately not as it doesn't leave sufficient residual slickness, so it's now heading to the shower.
