Going out with the family this afternoon for my boys 19th birthday (just reading that aloud makes me feel old!).

Decided I wanted to look fresh so had a haircut this morning and a shave this afternoon.

The Claymore can be a nasty beast if not treated with the respect it deserves. Too much pressure or lack of concentration will have you regretting it for the rest of the day.

Wanting to ensure a good shave I decided on a citrusy theme. Step up Alvarez Gomez, shaving cream and EdP. After my usual prep I enjoyed preparing the lather. God it's a thirsty cream, but if you take your time you're rewarded with a slick and smooth lather. The sun was just at the right level to shine in through the window and glisten in the super slick cream.

Taking care with the razor, ensuring no pressure at all, 3 passes went without incident. I got one or two weepers just under my chin but it was nothing to be worried out. The Schick blade pairs up well with the razor to give an awesome shave.

Finishing up with my post routine I had an enjoyable burn with the Xtro Mare. I topped it up with some Barts Balm lime then doused myself in the Alvarez Gomez EdC (everywhere but my shaved face).

I'm feeling fresh as a daisy with a BBS face.

Have a great day folks!

By the way....was there a game of rugby on the telly yesterday???? Something about the greatest comeback ever seen in an international??? [emoji6]

Now That's an SOTD

Sunday AM 2019-03-17

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Rooney Polo 2 Ivory Finest (28/60)
Eufros Brisa de Oriente shaving soap
Gillette New LC/Bob's Razor Works Bull Mastiff
Wilkinson 'Light Brigade' (21)
Armani Acqua di Giò aftershave

The soap required quite a bit of water and time, but its lather was excellent. The razor setup is somewhat heavy for me, since I have a chronic muscle wasting illness, but it feels great in my hand and is very efficient.

Warm shower, Bulldog Original Face Wash, Bulldog Sensitive Face Scrub

Cold water from tap
Proraso White pre shave cream
Musgo Real Spiced Citrus Shaving Cream
Clubman Pinaud Synthetic Brush

Fatip Piccolo
Gillette 7 o clock Sharp Edge (4)
Osma Alum Block
Fine Italian CitrusAS
Barts Balm Lime Oils ASB

A few weepers today, one of which required the styptic pencil.

Extro Cosmesi Freddo ~ Semogue 610 ~ 7 o'clock #77 ~ Erbe ~ Loreal Mountain Water AS

Loving these Extro croaps, nice smooth shave from the 1930's #77 but the star of the show has to be the Smog 610 which is just beginning to break in proper after 2 weeks constant use... It transformed overnight a couple of days ago into a lather generating monster whilst retaining a perfect face feel, I could happily just use this for the rest of my days and I don't think I've ever said that about a brush before.
