Sorry it's an old picture - the only difference is I used a Feather blade this time. I'm happy with my technique now and wanted to see how this blade would perform since the last time I used one.

Work has been hectic this week hence I haven't shaved for a few days. I was looking forward to a good shave and chose to use my recently received Hedonisme products from The Shaving Shop.

The scent is great and I was still getting the occasional reminder late on in the evening. Lovely.

The blade performed flawlessly with no irritation, which is what I tended to get previously. I'm unsure if its the Rockwell 6c or I've improved my technique or the good products. Whatever it is it was a great shave. No weepers, no redness just BBS after 3 passes.

It's now the morning after and I'm still feeling relatively smooth. Love it.

Have a great weekend folks. [emoji1362]

SOTD Sunday 18 November 2018 :)

Pre-shave: Warm shower, Musgo Real Classic Glycerin Oil Soap, followed by warm water splash.
Cream: Murdock.
Brush: Simpsons The Duke 2 Pure Badger.
Bowl: Little Wren.
Razor: Muhle Rocca Jet.
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (Day 1).
Post shave: Rosemary water - Ljekarna Male Braće, Dubrivnik, followed by Aloe Vera Gel.

First outing with the Rocca Jet; first impression - this is going to be a classic razor. Very good audible feedback - for me, on a par with me with the ATT DE razors. A 2 pass shave with a DFS + / BBS - finish, no issues to report.

The Jet has the updated Muhle Rocca build (different head and base plate) - that design looks more robust with greater blade capture (the locking pins from the cap are wider and lock into a firm ridge in the baseplate- so presumably less blade chatter.

Sorry, no time for pics - SWMBO is shouting for me to get ready as we are off out to the V&A Dundee :)

All the best,

Chris

Three passes for a beautiful BBS shave

20181118_132113-01.jpeg

Pre: Hot Shower, scrub and flannel
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood, face lathered
Brush: MÜHLE Vivo black
SR: ATT M2/Kronos
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (7)
Balm: Barts Rosemary and Sandalwood.
Scent: ADP Colonia.

A leisurely sunny Sunday lunchtime shave, 3 passes and pick ups. The ATT was an extremely generous gift from my very good friend @Satanfriendly , and what a lovely bit of kit it is! The first time I used it, the open comb arrangement felt a bit weird, but I'm used to it now. The razor itself is beautifully balanced and feels "right" in my hand, unlike the Futur clone it's replaced.

The Silver Blue has done well, 7 shaves in and still smooth, but I feel it took a few more strokes today so I will probably replace it for my next shave.

Anyway taking Ruby the Gordon Setter for a brisk gallop to the pub, where we will both get a treat of pork scratchings and I might enjoy a pint or 3...

Have a great afternoon everyone!
