Pre: Hot Shower, scrub and flannel
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood, face lathered
Brush: MÜHLE Vivo black
SR: ATT M2/Kronos
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (7)
Balm: Barts Rosemary and Sandalwood.
Scent: ADP Colonia.

A leisurely sunny Sunday lunchtime shave, 3 passes and pick ups. The ATT was an extremely generous gift from my very good friend @Satanfriendly , and what a lovely bit of kit it is! The first time I used it, the open comb arrangement felt a bit weird, but I'm used to it now. The razor itself is beautifully balanced and feels "right" in my hand, unlike the Futur clone it's replaced.

The Silver Blue has done well, 7 shaves in and still smooth, but I feel it took a few more strokes today so I will probably replace it for my next shave.

Anyway taking Ruby the Gordon Setter for a brisk gallop to the pub, where we will both get a treat of pork scratchings and I might enjoy a pint or 3...

Have a great afternoon everyone!

Ruby was thirsty too

A gift?

I was wondering where the hell it had gone. Now I know. You nicked it

18 November

PreShave: Warm water
Cream: TOBS Platinum Collection
Brush: Kent BK8
Bowl: My recycled cream bowl
Razor: The Sledgehammer
Blade : Feather (2)
Post Shave: Alum

Fragrance: Floris 71/72

I've been concerned with the scent of my cream for the past little while—I like the Platinum Collection. Smells clean and soapy, which was followed up by the crisp scent of the 71/72.

Prep: Face wash with Pears transparent soap
Pre: Proraso White preshave
Soap/Cream: Lea shave stick
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Razor: Gillette Tech
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow (1)
Post: Cold water rinse.
ASL: Blue Stratos
Finished off with blob of Aloe Vera gel

Good close 3 pass shave. I'm quickly becoming a fan of shave sticks. I like the Arko and Palmolive sticks and the Lea might be even better. Lovely slick creamy lather. Still got a Derby stick to try.

Have a good evening.

Cheers
Steve

Another sample used tonight - The Sudsy Soapery Lavender and Peppermint shaving cream. Thank you again Rob @Blackmass.

This was the second of a 2 days in a row shave and I was hoping things would be good....but they weren't. Even leaving it until tonight after shaving yesterday morning. I defo had plenty of stubble.

I followed my usual prep and stuck with the Feather blade in my Rockwell 6c on plate R3. This combination gave me a great shave yesterday. The only thing I changed was the cream but I'm more than happy with how that came out. It was delightful straight out the bag. Thirsty with a nice scent. I understand it's not to everyone's taste, but I quite enjoyed it.

My first pass seemed to go okay but I knew things weren't going as planned when I had my first rinse. My skin was tingling with each splash of warm water.

The 2nd and 3rd passes seemed to get slightly worse. My 3rd ATG pass had lots of weepers.

Even after rinsing with cold water and splashing of the Thayers my face was nipping. To try and recover things I splashed on a good amount of Xtro aftershave/EdT which gave a goooood burn. I followed this with Barts Balm and my skin went from warm to Luke warm.

The shave certainly isn't as close as I normally get but it's defo acceptable.

This feels like my face did the last time I used a Feather blade in my rotation. I'm not saying that is what is responsible.....but it seems to be a common denominator when I have crap shaves.

I live and learn! [emoji1744]‍[emoji3603] I'm happy that my post routine has saved my face from feeling like the surface of the sun!

I'm set for the week.

All the best folks! [emoji1303]
