First use of the Mixed Midget and after the Wee Scot it feels like a monster.
A little bit of scritch and it eats the lather but I'm sure both of these issues will resolve themselves over time.
The Dammo works really well with the extra length and weight the 1914 handle affords it.
A very nice start to the week indeed.
Happy Shaving one and all.

I think three shaves is my limit for these blades. But managed a good finish.
Black Orchid to finish as a bit of a treat today.

The T&H sandalwood soap was a very nice surprise birthday gift. It has a lovely scent, albeit not strong. This 1st use of the soap gave an extremely pleasant shave. The efficiency of removing the rough bits came from General Proline.

SOTD, Monday 23 April 2018 :)

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap, followed by warm water splash.
Cream - Murdock Avalon.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2, Synthetic.
Bowl - Little Wren Pottery.
Razor - Blackland Sabre v1.0.
Blade - GEM PTFE (Day 2).
Post shave - Cold water splash; followed by OSP Neroli Splash.

A very good 3 pass shave, with no issues report - a lovely way to start the week. I wanted to shave with the milder of the Sabre's as I had planned for a nice relaxed shave and I did not mind having 3 passes today.

Over the weekend I shaved with a sample of Taylor of Old Bond Street Aloe Vera Shaving Cream, which Ian from the Gentleman's Groom Room kindly gave me to try. I shaved with the Aloe Versa cream on Saturday, with the Muhle R41; a fabulous shave, which did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the cream and will purchase a tub, as I use up some of the other creams that I currently have on the go.

All the best,

Chris

Monday evening:

Pre: Face scrub with Wickham 1912 face soap afterwards
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic
Soap: Wickham 1912 English Rose
Razor: Merkur 25C
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Post: Cold water rinse, Alum, Bulldog After Shave Balm

This is the second shave with the Wickham 1912 English rose soap. While the scent isn't not unpleasant, it won't be a favourite for me either. I really like the quality of the soap though. I am really looking forward to try the other samples.
I also really like their face soap.

I nearly forgot the alum, as the shave was that easy and the skin felt great.
