soap: P&B unscented
brush: SOC 24 mm badger
razor: Schick Adjustable

On a mission using P&B from start to finish, currently on shave 40 and guessing final count will be about 60 shaves, was not that impressed from the start but soap has grown on me and now I like both the lather and the soapy unscented scent. (the guestimate from P&B is 40 to 100 shaves depending on loading style)

Vulfix 404 mixed
Tabac stick
Gem/Ever Ready Push Button
Gem S/S [ 5 ]
Tabac A/S Lotion

Getting near the end of this SE Rotation, and chose the quirky push button collaboration between Ever Ready /Gem.
I have not used this Razor much and perhaps have not assessed it properly. Whilst it Shaves very smoothly there is a nice degree of blade feel, which allows you to assess where extra work is required to get a nice close Shave. Despite the blade being on the wane , the overall finish quality was surprisingly good. Was rather nice using the Tabac as I have been wary of the heft of the Bowl Version, worried that I was perhaps going to drop it.

Taylor of Old Bond Street Grapefruit
Chubby 2 synthetic
Matador/Timor/Astra
Weleda balm

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Semogue Owners Club Boar
Soap: Tabac
Razor: Blackland Blackbird
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (2)
Post: CRSW Alcohol-Free American Barbershop Moisturising Aftershave
Scent:Tabac EdC

There is a reason why Tabac shaving soap has been around since 1959. Wonderful fragrant lather.
Another lovely shave with the Blackbird. A touch aggressive on the ATG pass, but to be expected for such a razor.

SOTD 27/09

Pre Shave: Face wash with Nesti Dante bar soap
Soap: Oatcake Shaving Soap - Driftwood
Brush: SimFix sythetic re-knotted with a 24mm AP Shave Co SynBad knot
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Razor: Merkur Futur
Post: L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Sensitive Moisturiser

First use with Driftwood and akin to my last shave with Lavender Melt, the scent profile and performance on this soap is top knotch, it's not a light weight scent and I can see it being akin to Marmite (which I don't like - unlike the soap).

Well.....after taking my time to decide what items I'd like to have in my travel kit, then buying all the bits and pieces, yesterday was my opportunity to test everything out.....however....I ended up FLYING south and only taking hand luggage.....the problem?......there's no way on earth razors or blades are getting through airport security.....so they all got left behind in my car...but safe for another day (everything has been put back in the bag now, including my newly acquired Tech!).

Now....back to tonight's shave....

Having no shaving kit meant no shave last night...obviously duh..... so when I got home this afternoon I had a Desperate Dan look about me.

A shower this evening and I couldn't wait to get all prep'd for my shave. I recently bought a Tech razor (courtesy of @shaunwistow - thanks!) and was desperate to put it to the test. No thought needed for the choice of blade - 7 O'clock green (having just bought 50 of these beauties).

Looking over my soaps and creams, the Buddha Wood jumped out. After my usual prep, the soap was lathered up in seconds and slapped on in copious amounts. The soft rose scent from this soap is really growing on me and the lather it forms is excellent in cushioning the blade and giving slickness.

A 3 pass shave - WTG, XTG and ATG had me almost entirely BBS. The blade angle seemed so easy to find with the Tech and the blade worked well for me. A few pick ups around the neck and I was done. There are a few slightly rough patches on my neck but it's barely noticeable.

After a rinse and clean up, the Thayers and Proraso balm went on faultlessly. A good shave and a good recommendation by several forum members re the Tech. A nice easy to use razor that gives good results. It'll be settling into my travel bag for went I don't go via air! Thanks everyone!

Hope you all have a great night! [emoji1303]

Gordy, DE razors are fine in hand luggage without a blade... it's the blades that cause problems. If you know when you're going and where you're staying or visiting family/friends, send the blades ahead in the mail to yourself, saves a load of grief at the airport.

YaqI 24mm Tuxedo Marble Handle
Rockwell 6C R3 on Windrose handle
Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Floid Black Aftershave

My first use of a Silver Blue blade and I'm impressed.
Having mostly used Astra SP and Voskhod blades recently the Silver Blue is much sharper. Not Feather sharp, but a step up for sure, and not uncomfortable at all.
Two days growth removed with ease and without mishap.
Finishing with Floid Black Aftershave. To me it's scent isn't as nice as Mentolado Vigoroso but performance is good.
