Good weekday shave. I'd forgotten how well the GFT cream lathers up: I'll have to remember to use a bit less next time.

Many lament that Williams soap is no longer any good, but I take issue with that. The trick, at least for me, is to pour very hot water on the puck in a bowl & cover. I then shower and upon exit I drain the water and lather with a synthetic brush. The lather is luxuriant and does not dry out on my face. As well, I get top rate cushion & glide from it. Now if you're one of those Nancy boys looking for post-shave "face feel" then forget it. This soap was made starting in the 1840's for true frontiersman. Men who wore rawhide drawers and picked their teeth with musket flints. ;)

I really must give this a go. I have always assumed it was a little like Arko.....just much worse!
