A late shave today and as it is Halloween...the obvious choice was the Pumpkin Spice which is now retired until next year. The Bigelow-Parkin (on loan) delivered another faultless shave. There will be a lot of face feeling this Evening:)

Tried today to determine whether this PAL or my Canadian E2 is the better Razor for me. The Shave was smooth and comfortable. and to be honest the quality of finish was similar to that provided by the E2. It looks like a few more Shaves
are required before I decide on a No 1. The Shaves delivered by both of these Razors are superior to many that I get from some SE Razors , but the blades were fresh.

Pre/prep: lovely hot, steamy shower. Scrub, hot towel.
Cream: OSP Fougere, face lathered
Brush: MÜHLE Vivo black fibre
SR: Merkur 23C
Blade: Feather (3)
Post: Nivea sensitive balm
Scent: Old Spice.

Much better today, the central heating timer has been set to GMT, and there was plenty of piping hot water!

I really love the OSP cream, I get a huge fragrance hit, it lathers really easily and is nice & slick. Lovely stuff, must try another flavour soon.

Bang on schedule, the Feather started to drag at the end of my 3rd pass so I pensioned it off.

The Merkur is getting a holiday too, my Ming Shi 2000S Futur clone arrived earlier in the week, so as the Feather died, I loaded a Gillette Silver Blue into the 2000S. Will explore its various settings over the weekend I think...

It was the first outing for this brush, and it is already remarkably usable and prickle-free straight out of the box. The only preparations I did beforehand were a short bath in shampoo water and a test lathering of shaving cream (with the brush sitting in lather for half an hour or so) the day before.
