Yintal "Bronze"/Dorco Prime :: Elite Manchurian :: Wickham 1912 :: Lúcido AS
Still in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The Yintal continues to give efficient and smooth 2-pass shaves. Definitely my product of the year. Of course the Elite and Wickham's are outstanding and I enjoy using them regularly in my very reduced den. I've become fond of the Lucido's functional scent and soothing finish.

If your into DE Razors the Dart is a great way to start off your Blackland collection :) tomorrow will be my seventh day running with it proving it can be used as an everyday razor, you just need to pick the blade that's right for you......P.

I was hopingto pick up a Blackbird with the black oxide finish when I was in the states on holiday but they were out of stock.

Date: 01 August 2018

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Brush:- RazoRock Plissoft Synth. 24/57mm knot
Soap/Cream:- A&E ~ Socal Hipster
Razor/Blade:- Merkur 38C / Polsilver Super Iridium #6
Post-shave:- Thayers Witch Hazel & Tea Tree Oil / Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic / Lucky Tiger Face Moisturizer
Fragrance:- N/A

OMG!! I'm really enjoying the Ariana & Evans soap called the Socal Hipster, a very beautiful soft fruity scent of pineapple, banana, passion fruit and mango, this soap is making me so hungry for me to eat it so bad. I can also smell a soft background scent of sandalwood, cedarwood and musk, however, the fruity scent stands out a lot more than the background scent. Overall I really bloody enjoy this soap.

Pre: Cold water face wash,
Brush: LeeDa Keyhole, 24mm Maggards Finest
Soap: OSP Bay Rum
Razor: ATT Calypso (on loan)
Blade: Feather Pro Super
Post: Cold water rinse, Layrite No.9 ASL

With a fresh blade on board, the Calypso delivered another cracking shave.
I'll have one more shave with her and then send her on her way to sunny Scotland. I think that's the first time I've used that term without being sarcastic.
The Layrite No.9 is very nice and not as sweet as Boots, but my search for a clove light bay rum continues.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Second shave with the Mamba and still happy, as good as or if not better than yesterday's shave.

And for today the chosen theme was 'ATT OSP ADP BBS and the wonderful world of TLA's'

ATT M2/Kronos handle/Feather
Muhle butterscotch synthetic (again)
OSP Shogun
ADP Colonia Club
A non-Mexican cereal bowl

This time while away I decided to bring more than the usual one razor so now I have an armoury from which to choose. Albeit a small armoury. In fact a very small one at that.

Being the Ikon SB was weapon of choice the last time around; today the ATT M2 was promoted to the rank of field Marshall in over seeing shaving operations. And a very nice choice it was.

I rarely reach for this particular razor and for no particular reason other than once I get my teeth in to something which shines through (I am thinking Timeless here) my vision becomes blurred and everything else becomes irrelevant. But I resisted my usual sense of safety and chose the dark side.

Likewise with the blade. Since being introduced to the Polsilver Lodz every other blade became a distant thought. So again a return to the Dark side. 'Luke I am your Feather'. Heaven in a thin piece of stainless steel

I must say as much I praise the Timeless for its build and engineering quality the ATT is equally so. A solid lump of a razor which feels and oozes quality. Heaven in a thick chunk of stainless steel.

OSP Shogun? I covered this once before and my thoughts remain exactly the same. Bizarre, different and as a cream I haven't come across anything better to date. Close, but not better. Heaven in a plastic tub.

I will say the same as last time because I am totally unoriginal. It is a Muhle. It is a synthetic. It is butterscotch in colour. It does the job of being a brush. Heaven in man made materials.

ADP Colonia Club because it is all that I have with me and if I could live with just one scent then this would be it. After a day on the river on a tug one does need something to offset the grime and sweat. Heaven in a glass bottle.

Mix all this together and perform a full 3 pass shave and the end result is definitely in the realms of a 'smooth operator'. A shave made in heaven.

P.S. You have just got to love predictive spelling. I had to have a little inwards chuckle when I came back and saw 'ADP Colons Club's. Anyone else in a club for a particular internal organ? Spleens or appendix?
