Greetings,

The Scottish Fine Classic Shaving Soap, is such a wonderful soap, every time i add it to my soap rotation, it never fails to provide me with a superb slick protective lather & a wonderful post shave feeling to my face..Outstandingly good!

Another dfs from the 99r/lancet super stainless indian duo.The blade felt exactly the same as it did on it's last outing..A comfortable 3 Pass + pick ups smooth shave with no errors to report.
.
Finishing the shave off with a generous splash & dollop of Boots ~ Freshwood A/S Balm.

My face is feeling smooth refreshed, & smelling devine.

Tuesday 31st July

Pears Glycerine Soap
Proraso Sensitive Pre Shave Cream
Speick Shaving Stick
Omega 11135 Boar Brush
Focus R48 Dynamic SE with a BIC Blade
Witch Hazel with Lavender EO
Aloe Vera Gel
Speick AS

I haven't used this razor for months....so it was back to the start of the learning curve. I find the pivoting head a little strange.
Three passes for a lovely shave. Not quite BBS.....but close enough. I should use it a few more times to fully realise its potential.

So my order from top of the chain arrived today, thought I would take them out for a spin during my lunch hour.

Pre: Glyce Original
Brush: PAA Green Ray
Soap: Barister and Mann Lime Lavender & Cedarwood
Razor: Wilkinson Classic
Blade: Supermax Super Stainless
Aftershave: Barrister and Mann Lime Lavender & Cedarwood

The soap performed great, plenty of lather and slickness. Created a lovely silky lather that was easy to whip up on the face.

The Aftershave was equally good. Next to no sting leaving my skin feeling calmed.

No my issue is the scent, I am not sure of it as yet. The scent to me is of Lavender and Pepper. I will not be getting rid of it, but I do not think I would buy it again though. Performance wise there is nothing to complain about.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: M&F / Brad Forbes Finest Badger
Soap: Haslinger Honig (tallow)
Razor: Merkur Futur (2)
Blade: Vintage NOS Personna Super Platinum Chrome (2)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel / Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: APR Ozymandias

A glorious lather was whipped up by the M&F brush, enhanced by the warm, comforting scent from the Haslinger soap.
I have shaved with most of the big hitters of the vintage blade club, and I must say that the Personna Super Platinum Chrome is up there with the very best. From my research, I conclude that this blade is the last of the the P74 line. From my shaving experience, it may also be the pinnacle of that line. Three stellar passes, and a few buffs courtesy of the excellent residual slickness of the soap, and I am BBS and grinning.

Omega 011829
Razorock Hawk
Schick Proline P-30 (3 or 4)
Valobra Cologne
Myrsol Blue

A very nice shave today, slight change to my normal routine I shaved before I showered as opposed to after, no difference at all. I enjoy using this SE razor but I don't think it shaves me as closely as my DE's, probably because I have much more experience with them. No issues with the shave regarding irritation or cuts, just certain parts could be smoother. Today's soap was a top performer as can be expected, lovely tallow soap. Described as Cologne scented, to me it is just a soapy scent like a generic bar of hand soap.
