Rocca & Polsilver
YaQi 2-band
Neroli

Using the OSP Neroli cream again with the Rocca and a fresh Polsilver SI and they've all clicked neatly together. One pass and done for today, ready to watch the Red Arrows a little later at a nearby air show! Great weather for it, too!

I finally took my Muhle Rocca for a spin and I'm impressed how efficient it is without feeling excessively aggressive. I think you are spot on on comparing it to the Progress on setting 5 for efficiency but I think it feels like in setting 3, if that makes sence :)

I'm a little disappointed with the handle though, it's a shame they use plastic on a beautiful razor. I'll be using it with a kronos handle while I find something that I like.

The rest of the shave was with AOS tallow Sandalwood, wonderful stuff. Permasharp first usage and Razorock 400 synthetic brush.

Proraso red aftershave... excellent.

Wed 4th July
Vulfix 404 mixed
Vitos Super Red
Supply SE- V2 No 3 plate
Schick Proline ( 7 )
Pitralon Original A/S lotion

I have now got to like using this Razor, as Initially I could not get a decent Shave with the V1 even on a No 3 plate.
However as I like the feel and looks, I managed to get a revised No3 plate which actually has a good degree of blade feel and handled properly does deliver a good Shave.
Today in fact aided by great Lather from the Vitos, I had my best ever Shave with this Razor- smooth, comfortable with a super close all round finish.

Brush: Omega Hi Synthetic.
Bowl: Aesop.
Razor: Blackland Sabre Gem v1.0.

Its good to be back after the holiday; enjoying my shaves once more - its amazing the difference that water can make, in my opinion , to the quality of a shave.

I hope all is well and the the heatwave is not causing anyone any hassle.

Prep ~ Valbora Glicerlanolina soap, shower
Razor ~ Iwasaki Kamisori 60mm
Soap ~ Sterling Sandlewood
Brush ~ YaQi Moka Express Badger
Post ~ Thayers / Jojoba oil
Scent ~ Guerlain - Santal Royal (250ml Bee Bottle)

A clean & close shave with the Kamisori, very satisfying. The Stirling Sandlewood soap was smelling delightful as well as providing a slick protective lather with which to shave, it was whipped into a wonderful lather with the equaly wonderful Moka Express in no time at all and then painted onto my face with the sizeable soft but firm knot.
I was left clean shaven with no blood loss, Thayers and when dry a small drop of Jojoba oil to nourish my skin.
For my scent of the day I could find no better choice than Guerlain Santal Royal taken from the iconic Guerlain Bee Bottle , a perfect way to finish off a very enjoyable shave. :) P.

Untill the next time....P

Have I ever said what my favourite razor is?
Happy Shaving one and all.
That is a cool looking razor, reminds me of the guardian in the 1st Thor movie

Morning shave

Olive Oil Soap
P&B Pall Mall
Chubby 2 Best Badger
ATT Calypso SE1
Proline (3)
Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented)
OSP Neroli Aftershave Tonic
Acqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza EDC

I was rudely interrupted during my shave by an important work telephone call which, of course, wasn't important at all. So I had to settle for a single pass. But I'm more than happy with the resulting DFS. Have a good day gents.

The Full 1924 treatment

Prep ~ Shower, Valbora Glicerlanolina Soap
Razor ~ Cobra Classic
Blade ~ proline P-30
Soap ~ Panama 1924 ~ Boellis.
Brush ~ Omega 6209 Badger
Scuttle ~ Giles Shaving Co
Post ~ Panama 1924 Aftershave Gel ~ Boellis
Scent ~ Panama 1924 EDT ~ Boellis

A truly wonderful shave from my number one SE Razor, paired with the proline blade this combo gives me a super close but comfortable shave time after time.
Panama 1924 from Boellis, I love the whole range of products and the soap is no exception, it produces a wonderful slick and creamy lather and has the great Panama 1924 scent, on top of that its a great performing soap with plenty of protection.
After my BBS shave I applied the 1924 aftershave Gel, cool and soothing and to finnish a spray or three of Panama 1924 EDT with notes of citrus, tobacco and vanilla, a classic men's fragrance that was launched in 1924 and has stood the test of time.

Wishing you all a great day....P

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ Imperial Leather ~ Sea minerals & Black Mint Shower Gel.

Pre:

warm wet flannel to my face.

Pears ~ Transparent Glycerin Soap.

Brush: Yaqi 24mm ~ Sagrada Familia R1730 Synthetic.

Bowl Lather.

Cream : Nivea Men ~ Originals.

Blade: Trig ~ (Green/White pack) Stainless Silver Edge .(4)

Razor: Parker 98R.

Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade Lemon,Lime+Peppermint Oil Witch Hazel Mixture/Nivea Men ~Anti-Irritation A/S Lotion.

Nivea Men ~ 2 Phase A/S lotion .

Greetings,

Fourth and final shave with the trig ~ (green /white pack) Stainless Silver Edge .The smooth efficiency of this blade like it's (blue/white pack) sibling is suprisingly good, Paired up with the 98R today still performed with sharp smoothness. As always the Nivea Men shaving products where a superb addition to the shave making it a pleasurable experience.

Both of the trig blades over the last two weeks have impressed me ,with their sharp longevity and smoothness throughout my sotd's. As to say which was the better blade between them, imho they are the same blade, just in different packaging for selling purposes.

A great blade that is suited to my skin type,as are the other Pakistani Treet Co.blades that i've shaved with. What i like about both the Trig blades is that both have been consistantly smooth & predictable throughout the longevity test, and that imho is a good blade, but this is just my experience, every person's review/experience on a blade,(soap, brushes, razors etc) will vary from mine ,and it's wrong for me to label some experiences/reviews as 'right & others wrong, imho 'they are all right, because each person knows his or her experiences/opinions are right, but that doesn't make the experiences/opinions of others wrong either...However saying that, we all learn from watching, reading trying & listening, to other peoples experiences/Reviews, but we all go by our own judgement first ,before following others.Enough said, i'm starting to babble.

It's quite amazing that throughout the entire month or so i've only used 4-5 DE blades. The longevity tests on most of the blades, apart from the Bluebird Platinium, has proven to me that a blade can still perform with smooth sharp effiency and, doesn't need to be binned after two shaves.

A very comfortable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of nivea men~ 2 phase a/s lotion.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling devine.;)

(No photo today since I never got to use the last two and I was in the huff)

Brush: Yaqi Giotto 24mm synthetic
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (sample)
Razor: Parker 99R
Blade: Trig (3)

Having managed to get a lovely lather out of the MWF yesterday with my badger brush, I thought I'd revisit the Giotto/MWF combination, and I'm happy to report success today. This brush holds a lot of everything - I think I may have had too much water in it on Tuesday, and/or not worked the soap enough. A very good shake of the brush before working the soap for a bit longer than feels like it should be necessary gave good results, but I'm learning what the term 'lather hog' means in relation to a brush!

Like the poster above I'm enjoying the Trig blades, although I'm on the blue box. The extra heft of the Parker over my Wilkie Classic reminded me to be careful this morning, so still no injuries to report.

Happy shaving!
