SOTD : Saturday 30th June - Friday 6th July 2018

Hi Guys from a very hot and sunny Turkey. It's my 50th birthday today and my good lady came up trumps with this Bronze timeless Razor for my birthday. The proraso was a good choice in this climate. 38c here today. I shaved on the balcony using a stick to the wall mirror. The razor is fantastic!

Happy Birthday.

Morning shave

BBA Face Wash
P&B Citra Royale
Chubby 2 Best Badger
ATT Calypso SE1
Proline (1)
Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented)
Myrsol Agua de Limon Aftershave
Dior Eau Sauvage EDT

The Calypso was pretty much an impulse buy one slow afternoon at work. But I'm very pleased that I picked one up. It's very light and manoeuvrable yet smooth and very efficient. A joy to use. An excellent first shave. Have a good day gents.

Can't seem to upload a photo this morning, not sure why.

Brush: Yaqi Giotto 24mm synthetic
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (sample)
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade: Trig (2)

A very thin lather this morning, I don't think I can pin it on the brush, so I'll blame the hard water round here. Obviously it can't be my fault.

The Trig continues to be plenty sharp, though not as smooth as some of my absolute favourite blades (though I do wonder if my poor lather was a factor here). It was giving me a false sense of security that led me to throw it around my face like it was a cartridge razor. I don't know what I was thinking, but I got away without a scratch, cut, nick or weeper. I'm a very lucky boy.

Perhaps I'll put it in my Rapira tomorrow, which should force me to be a little more careful.

Happy shaving!

Prep ~ Shower, Valbora Glicerlanolina Soap
Razor ~ General Stinger Brass
Blade ~ Feather Pro Super
Soap ~ Eufros ~ Zanzibar
Brush ~ Thater 4125/2 Silvertip
Scuttle ~ Giles Shaving Co
Post ~ Thayers / Jojoba oil
Scent ~ Spicebomb ~ Viktor & Rolf

A great shave, the General was given a new handle, the Stinger from Charcoal Goods, longer, fater and loads of grip. It works very well with the head .
It was my first use of my Thater brush also, it has hooked gel tips and when dry it feels a little scratchy but when soaked for a very short while it turns into the softest Silvertip I have ever had the pleasure to use.
Add the velvety Eufros into the equation and it was like sensory heaven, bliss. :)
I was left with a BBS finnish and a big smile on my face , I love it when a shave goes as well as this!
A good spray here there and everywhere with the fab Spicebomb and I was good to go.
Thanks must go out to @Blackmass who I bought the brush from, it's in pristine condition and has been well cared for and it was so nicely packaged along with its original box which by the way was also pristine, cheers Rob. :) P.

Greetings,

Third shave with the trig ~ (green/white pack) Stainless Silver Edge , was still showing no signs of bluntness or pulling, pairing up with the 34C wonderfully making a smooth efficient duo.

It's been a good while since i last used the Palmolive classic shave cream, and forgot how good this cream performs, and it's great scent through out the shave...Wonderful stuff!

A very enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Arko ~ Comfort Cologne.

My face is feeling smooth refreshed, & smelling divine.

Hi Paul,
I did say you wouldn't be disappointed. I'm really pleased you're happy with it and it's gone to a good home. Thanks for the tag too mate.

Have a great day.
