After yesterday's enjoyable if somewhat mediocre shave I was hoping for better things from the OC.
It was as smooth and perhaps slightly more efficient and I do prefer the OC but I have razors as smooth and more efficient.
I will stick with the OC for the rest of the pass around to see if it becomes more efficient with use.
Did I mention it was stunning?
Happy Shaving one and all.

7/5/18

Razor 1 - UK Tech
Razor 2 - Yaqi DOC
Blade - Silver Star (1)
Soap - Lea Stick Tallow
Brush - Yaqi Fan Tux
Post - Nivea Replenishing Balm
AS - Eyup Sabri Lemon

Until now, I had not come across a blade which did not work well in a Gillette Tech but the Silver Star seems to be the one. The Silver Star in the Tech was incredibly tuggy but worked a lot better in the Yaqi DOC.

Pre: Glyce Lime
Brush: The Personal Barber synthetic
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
Blade: Gillette Platinum
Soap: Norse Bergamot
Post: Bart's Balm Rosemary and Sandlewood lotion

First try with a Gillette Platinum which I came across today after finding it in several blades I was given to sample. It is a nice blade, very smooth and forgiving. I was even able to go against the grain on my top lip without too much irritation as that is the only real area that causes me issues.

I think I will have to order several. I am also tempted by the Gillette Super Thins.

P & B Spitfire
Schick Type N3
Schick S/S Twin- Japan [ 26 ]
Tuff Red A/S Lotion.

Always seems much easier to have a good Shave after having had one the previous day. I have been lucky recently having had some great Shaves with different Razors over the last week or so.

Today was very good, an extremely comfortable Shave with a good close all round finish. This razor /blade combination is still delivering and shows no sign of tailing off.

ASD2, Boots vintage blade #15, Cella, NF Tubby 2, Bond Executive a/s and balm.

this blade has been in use since the 7th April but has become a bit dull - not a bad blade at all. finished the Bond a/s and the cella is down to the last 10g. Change is coming for next month's shaving - De Verguilde Hand soap and a French a/s called Sauvage. i have enjoyed using the feather very much this last month - every shave smooth and irritation free. Definitely my razor of choice if i had to choose one.

Enjoy the sun chaps :)

The 1924 really lends itself to a longer modern handle. It just looks good, plus, as always produced a great audible shave.
A lovely shave and another lovely day to go with it.
Couldn't agree more on the handle-enhanced 1924!!
