Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend. Maiden shave with the omega 48 pro brush, which was impressive for it first run,no hair loss it'll get better in time to come, like it's voluptuous sibling the 49 pro it's size is wonderful for both face or bowl lathering. Another week of using just one voskhod t.c. blade for all of my sotd's testing it's longevity & performance. The wickham soap produced a wonderful slick lather for the shave, with a nice scent & post shave feeling.

A comfortable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of brut ~ oceans a/s lotion.

My face is feeling fresh super smooth, & smelling devine.;)

Today's shave:

rdt180707.jpg

- Soapy Science Hanalei
- CompassRoseWoodworks Tuxedo
- Maggard OCv2 with Windrose handle and ASP blade
- Sôi energy aftershave

:D

The brushmaker is a guy I found on Etsy, based in the US. He appears to be rather new to the business, but the handle is easily one of the most comfortable I own, and the resin looks quite nice as well (multicolored, with a few sparkly and a few slightly transparent bits).

Sat 7th July
Omega 11126 boar
OSP Bay Rum
Schick J3, Golden 500- No2
Schick Proline [ 1 ]
Alcolade Glacial

Todays Shave was quite interesting as I followed up yesterdays Shave [ J3/ Japanese Schick ], with my second J3 loaded with the AC Proline blade.
I felt that the Shave was smoother and certainly closer in terms of finish quality, especially around the neck. I shall now do back to back Shaves with the J3s when they come up in a rotation. Seems to me best to compare both blades over a few Shaves to see which comes out top. I bet I will end up using the Japanese Schicks in the likes of my Type F, as I know that Razor/Blade combo works really well together.

BBA Face Wash
Meissner Tremonia Dark Limes
Semogue Owners Club Cherry Boar
Little Wren Pottery
Gillette Slim
Personna Star (1)
Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented)
Myrsol Agua de Limon Aftershave
Dior Eau Sauvage EDT

First use of the Slim and paired with the superb Personna Star, a great Saturday morning shave was had. These will certainly be my go to blades whenever I use the Fatboy or Slim, and thanks to the generosity of Iain (@Digimonkey) I have another tuck in my armoury. Have a great weekend gents.

REX Ambassador
Shark/Polsilver
Brad Sears DFS LE
Martin de Candre Vetyver
Pitralon Classic aftershave

First outing of the Brad Sears brush.

Probably the neatest knot I've come across with the darkest hair with the whitest tips. Beautiful.
As soon as I run the knot under the tap and run it across my palm there was a gasp,

so, so soft.

It created a lather with ease with plenty of flow through.
Backbone. It shares the same characteristics as the Saponificio Varesino knot. The backbone is there with the painting strokes.
Is it a keeper? I'll use it a couple more times before I can confirm that.

Onto the shave. I found the Shark blade tuggy on the first pass. I swapped it out for the Polsilver and things improved greatly, very smooth. 3 passes on setting 3 and 2.5 for touch-ups. Very good results again.

Enjoy your weekend. We can relax until Wednesday night.
