Phoenix and Beau Whitechapel
RazoRock Plissoft 24mm synth
Face lather
Ever Ready 1912 Streamline
Gem SS PTFE
Thayer's Cucumber and Aloe Vera
Trumper's Eucris EdT

Sublime this morning. A new, hand stropped Gem in the Streamline really did the trick. Together with the outstanding Whitechapel, an effortless shave was had. The Eucris seems to harmonise with the notes of the soap.

I'm still staggered by the assertiveness of this outstanding razor. Easily one where the adage of letting the weight of the razor couldn't be truer.

Omega 11137 boar
Lea Classic soap
ES Claymore V1 + Windrose Handle & Schick Proline [ 6 ]
Lea Classic A/S Lotion

I consider myself lucky to have this Razor, which was discarded by a few in favour of lighter rivals. I really like the extra heft that it provides, and when I get the angle right, it Shaves as smoothly and comfortably as Razors twice its price.
Was on a winner today, as the Lather was spot on and allowed the Razor to perform at its best, so the resultant finish was Top Notch. Now 9 hours from the Shave my cheeks are still super smooth.

Lol...no worries. The Whitechapel still has the female figure, with Jack on her left side. Kerry is/has reissuing/ed Baskerville in the same style as Whitechapel, but rather than the Sherlock/hound morph, there's a rather fetching image of a blood red hound against a black background.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Rudy Vey Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Soap: B&M Leviathan
Razor: Pils
Blade: Vintage NOS Wilkinson Sword Light Brigade (4)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel / Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: Leviathan EdT

First outing with the Pils razor. Beautiful fit and finish. A unique two-piece design that seems to clamp the blade very precisely, and with no curvature.
Three passes for an super-comfortable and effortless DFS+. Very impressed. Reminds me of the AS-D2, but with more heft/momentum, and seems slightly more efficient.
Lovely shave!

Heno de Pravia Glycerine Soap
Proraso Green Tea and Oat Pre Shave Cream
Wickham 1912 Scottish Heather Soap
Rooney Super Badger Brush
Merkur Futur (3.5, 4.5, 5.5) with a 7 O'Clock Permasharp Blade
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aloe Vera Gel
Heno de Pravia Agua de Colonia
Worth pour Homme EDT

I have been using Chinese clones of the Futur for some time and decided to give the original a run today. This was the first 'proper' razor I ever bought. In use ...when compared to the clones.......the weight of the razor was the most obvious difference for me.

3 passes for a wonderful BBS finish!

Prep: Shower, 5K run, another shower & Nivea deep cleaning face wash
Razor: iKon B1 Deluxe OC
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Green
Bowl: Executive Shaving handmade
Brush: Razorock Bruce Synth
Cream: T&H Ultimate Comfort
Drink: Nice refreshing tonic water
Post: Barts Balm Peppermint Oil ASB

Nice post run shave. 5K in the pouring rain, can't say my skin wasn't properly hydrated before this one! Really enjoying the open comb, not sure why I reached for the Gillette Green as it's not been a fave with the DE89. Probably just to finish the tuck, doubt I'll buy them again now. Despite it seeming to give a decent shave at the time, I always get some burn over the next couple of hours. Before anyone mentions technique, it only happens with this blade for me.

Didn't really get any teeth marks with the OC so angle must have been good. Also I think 2 weeks away from magnifying mirror on holiday has cured me of my tendency to flip it over, overthink the results and do too much clear up after the third pass, ending up with unnecessary irritation & weepers. I just did the third pass, painted leftover cream on face, cleared up, then had a good cold water rinse & finish with Barts Balm. Felt like a good enough shave to not need touch ups anyway. Cold tonic water was nice accompaniment. Just needed some gin!

Pre shave: Warm shower and Bulldog face wash
Razor: Fatip Piccolo
Blade: NOS Gillette Stainless - Czech Republic (#1)
Soap: Wickham Soap Co. 1912 Russian Leather
Brush: Maseto 30mm Silvertip
Bowl: Korium
Post shave: Alum block, cold water splash and Thayer's Cucumber witch hazel
AS: Guerlain Habit Rouge
EDT: Guerlain Habit Rouge

I decided to have a day off SE shaving for SEptember due to the arrival of 100 Gillette Stainless blades made in the Czech Republic. It was definitely worth it, the blades are clearly very sharp but also very smooth shaving. I'm extremely pleased with these blades, I hope the other 99 blades work as well. Another new arrival today was the Maseto 30mm Silvertip. I already have 24mm and 30mm Maseto brushes but these are all 2 band finest. This brush is huge, to be honest it is probably too big but after just one use it feels great, so I have high hopes if it improves after being fully broken in.
