Greetings,

Maiden shave with the experimental superlather..The verdict?...

I mentioned in one of my previous SOTD's that i was going to try making a 'uber/superlather'with Williams Mug Shaving Soap, i soaked the the soap for 5 minutes in hot tap water, then loaded up my damp 'not wet' semogue 830 until i had a good amount soap on the brush, next i added 2 almond size dollops of Ingram Menthol Shave cream to my mixing bowl + 6 drops of glycerin & a few drops of water then started to mix up the lather adding more water when required to get the superlather to the consistancy i like...I was rewarded with a absolutely superb cool protective slick lather ,my only downfall of the experiment was i mixed up enough lather to do a 10 pass shave....i'll use smaller quantities next time, all in all though, a successful first 'Uber /superlather'making tryout.

The Supermax Blue Diamond titanium was a excellent match with the 24C, mowing through my stubble with smooth efficiency.

A comfortable Sunday morning 3 pass + pick ups near bbs shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Creightons ~ Sensitive Post Shave Balm.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling devine. ;)
;)

Enjoy your sunday, ladies & gentlemen.

First time today with my new Feather Professional Artist Club SS razor, and, I can say it was a completely scary experience. Using a Proguard blade I only produced one weeper on the top lip, to my total amazement. I did much less well on my first DE shave with a Merkur HD and Astra blade, neither of which I own anymore. I really took my time this morning, the lather needing freshening more than once, and a one pass shave was all I needed. The smooth areas, cheeks and neck, were smooth, but the chin was tricky and could be better. I am very impressed with my new dangerous tool for shaving, and I am looking forward to future encounters as I master this new art.

Another return to DE this morning. I'm getting great shaves with a SE but I don't seem to stay smooth as long as I do with DE.

I had slight stubble this morning and decided to whip it off with a relaxing and chill out shave. SWMBO is out and kids are recovering from hangovers so I knew I'd get peace!

A really slow and methodical 3 pass shave with nothing to report - which is good! Everything worked as it should and in harmony.

There's a noticeable difference all over but more so on my neck. Back to BBS and feeling really fresh.

I'm off next week so will have loads of time for enjoyable shaves!

All the best folks!
