The Most Aggressive Safety Razor Available To You.

What I did....adjust to 6,then thumb on head and two fingers on base...lift base to relieve tension on spring as if to disassemble, you can see a little lug that stops the adjuster ring turning past max.Taking tension off will allow to turn adjuster past 6 to the 0 setting, release tension on head and it will adjust further to the "12". Do it again to get to 18 and so on.I took it out to 30 for fun but gets close to coming apart after that.

your method sounds easier than taking apart, searched and found this video, 11.40 is showing the press and turn method (there is a similar hack for the Gillette Slim adjustable somewhere on Youtube)

The most aggressive razor available to me?

The Qshave/Ming Shi Futur clone set on 12 (yes my friend, 12!) :)

There's a 12 setting? Lol, makes me think of the amps volume on Spinal Tap going up to 11.

By which time you may as well try shave with just a blade.

Surely there is a limit to maximum blade exposure where it no longer matters how big a gap there is?

The iKon Tech is the most aggressive razor I've tried (and audibly shears off any stubble my MÜHLE R41 fails to get), but not a pleasure to use.

The Roedter 1909 Titan, which appears to be a re-branded Fatip Grande with a misshapen top cap (with a flat underside) is said to be even more aggressive, but the Barbe Blue BB Model X or the similarly designed DEvette looks even less appealing (though based on PLANofMAN's reply, I must be doing it wrong).

I find the Ikon Tech more or less unusable. No matter which blade I use, or how carefully I handle it, I end up with a smarting face and nicks.

I picked the model X up for a friend. I've only shaved with it once, and I went really slow and careful. No thoughtless quick shave with one of those. It wasn't a bad shave by any means, but I had zero desire to shave with it again. It felt a bit like playing Russian roulette, if you take my meaning.
