The Most Aggressive Safety Razor Available To You.

The DEvette

Any DE Razor can be aggressive or non-aggressive. The R41 is an efficient /aggressive razor, but so is the Fatip grande, and the Parker Variant/mingshi 2000s etc..But, treated with respect like any other DE razor they will reward you with sublime shaves .My humble advice is i find that 90% of traditional wet shaving is all about good preparation, learning your technique, having a good solid razor, and a blade that is suited to your skin type.Every time i shave i don't go for BBS shaves i go for irritation-free enjoyable ones, however from time to time i do get what i consider a BBS shave. Regards.B :)

When I first started shaving I used to get irritation but after 8 months or so all my shaves are irritation free and regardless of the razor, I've had 7 passes with a mild razor or 4 with the most aggressive razor I own, the R41 and zero irritation ( why so many passees? Well, I don't do that with every shave but occasionally when I'm enjoying the shave so much that I have more passes than my usual 3 passes )
Also, I used to prepare the skin with hot towels, pre shaves, etc but I can't notice any benefits now so other than washing my face before the shave and some bloomed water when possible, I get a good shave.
Technique, good soap/lather and finding the right razor blade combination for your face are the only rules that I follow.

R41, one of my favourite razors, I could do a single pass with the R41 and go to work everyday.... but where is the fun in that? :)

Edit: re-read my post after a few days and I would add that for everyday shaving all the preparation I need is wash my face and bloom water if possible but for 2 or more days growth then more preparation is needed.

Surely the most aggressive razor would be the razor that was designed without a safety bar - the Barbe Bleue, or the one that took two DE blades - the Razolution. There is now the Saiver Profimed 2.0 razor.

Yup, remove, turn, put back, voila pretty aggressive adjustable but that aside I am beginning to suspect Classic_4ever = admin in disguise starting threads for the purspose of creating traffic :)

How did you get it to go past six? Mine locks and can't go further.Although at 6 with a Polsilver is fairly "aggressive" and I would most likely use one of my straights if I want any more feel.

Before putting the comb part back, you have to turn the handle by 360 degrees (to gain one round) and then screw the comb back, so that the "0" index is in fact 6 (in lieu of 0).
