What are my options for rescaling a twisted/angled blade?

I am tidying up an old razor and about to rescale a blade that is twisted. Before I pulled it apart the toe was clipping the scale and now I can see why. What are my options? I believe that trying to bend an old blade is tricky as they can break. Is it possible to drill the holes off a bit to pull it straight? Or would sanding the inside of the scale to compensate be a better option? Or packing with a washer inside (possibly need a big washer)? Or opening up the scales a bit with a wider spacer at the end?

TIA

In the Factory they Alter ( Bend ) the Scales to Suit the Bend in the Blade...Personally I Do Not See the Point in Farfing about with an Old Bent Blade for re Scaling...Some are Bent at the Tang Area & Can be Trued Up Some by using Heat at the Tang when Stripped Down & Hammering it Flat or Man Handling it ...BUT Many Blades are Bent from the Blade itself....There are Variables in Bent Blades..

At the price of SRS on EBAY is it Worth the Bother...Me I Would Dump it Unless its a Project You Wannna Take Up...Thats Me Talkin...Sometimes its More Bother n Time than its Worth...

Contra to Popular Opinion Some Vintage SRs Had Awful Factory Grinding Issues...For Example...Bengals Sheffield are Popular & I have Honed Many of Em Bent Like a Banana from the Factory...:).

Test the options you mention (except bending/breaking blade) and return with pics of the outcome...

Thanks both, this one does seem to be bent in the tang area and as it's my first crack at a restoring I think I will view this as a learning curve rather than binning it. The razor was one of two for £30 bought from here and I rather like the blade so I would be pleased if this one was usable at the end of this. The scales are celluloid and I am deliberating over re using the existing or buying some bone from Shaversdelight for about £25.

I will try and post a photo of the cleaned up blade.

Maybe try old scales but with modified wedge/washers/tilting utilising a set of tiny threaded bolts and nuts.

A coincidence maybe but the two blades I have had problems with clipping scales also had shoulderless designs. (if I remember correctly solved by using two spacers on each side instead of one and trying to move right scale slightly down when peening to push blade tip to the right, now it is not closing exactly in the middle but at least clearing scales no problem, also had to resand ends of scales to make them even) (was also thinking but never tested a wider wedge to make room for tip and add a third pin to let blade rest on that)

I thought I saw a post with a YouTube tutorial for peening which someone kindly added to this thread but I was on my phone and I just came back to watch it on a bigger screen and it seems to have gone? Or did I get the wrong thread?

My wire cutter will not cut flush so aiming for as close to washer as possible I am left with about 1 mm tops but I use Revisor hardware so not sure how it works with normal pins/washers.

Just finished a set of new scales for a Titan razor from China. It had problems with closing in original scales but is now dead straight in new scales no need to make any corrections. So problem was not the blade but original scales or maybe pivot pin.
