Which Witch Hazel

Same here.

Hate the smell of the natural witch hazel so grabbed some citrus essential oils (lime, lemon, orange) as well as peppermint oil for the cooling, really enjoy this, definitely recommend.

Am also looking to grab some menthol crystals at some point also, do they have less of a minty smell than the oil and more of just the cooling effect?

Not tried Thayers admittedly, but it seems a bit overhyped, for what is essentially the same product..

the addition of the menthol crystals gives the mix, a "REAL COOLING KICK"..do be careful though, add half a crystal at a time, then do a test on the back of your neck to see if it reacts with your skin type, adding too many could harm your skin,..You'll be fine if you use your common sense...Those menthol crystals a very powerful, and should be treated with respect...if you haven't had a reaction with the essential oils + witch hazel mixture, you'll be fine..Enjoy B. :)

Thread bumpáge...

I got some Humphreys WH astringent w/14% alcohol.
I've bought some Tea Tree essential oil and will add maybe 20 drops & see how that goes.

Is there anything else anyone would recommend I add to a WH base?

I just bought a couple of bottles of Thayers Rose petal witch hazel from Iherb in the states, 20 quid including postage, only took 5 days to arrive, which was amazing, as can sometimes take 3 weeks,, we'll worth a try.

Same, although mine took 3 weeks, maybe more.

I got 2 bottles of Thayers from Lucky Vitamin for £17.89 including delivery. Took 11 days to arrive.

This was August last year and I'm just about to finish my first bottle. I use it as part of every post shave so it's a great investment!

Lucky Vitamin normally have some sort of special offer on which can be found either in their website or by searching online.

I'd defo recommend Thayers. [emoji1303]
