It's just a few temporary blotches, it's worth the trouble, "Shave like a man!"Noice! I'd love to enjoy mine, but they're silver plated ... alas, I'm part vampire. Last time (actually, also the first time) I used it, Mrs asked me what they heck I'd done to my face. Looking in the mirror, I had red blotches all over the shaved area. I ran an ice cube over it and was fine by morning. The same happened with a silver plated New Improved. Oddly, I have a silver plated Zinn Gem which is not drama at all.
Yeah, the original was probably the best.
The one that's potentially a 1906? Hell no, you don't scrape the paint off the Mona Lisa and repaint it and call that an "improvement"!I could always send it to JJ for a replate ... adopt adapt improve.
It would be a shame ...The one that's potentially a 1906? Hell no, you don't scrape the paint off the Mona Lisa and repaint it and call that an "improvement"!
Wax it with Turtle Wax and use a pre-shave.
Agree!Used my Gillette single ring today, tried the FRAM but a bit rough so went new Gillette and great result. It’s stamped E 95401 so must be close on 100 now? I have more modern Gillettes but this baby is just as good if not better. Difficult to improve on perfection I guess. View attachment 89872View attachment 89869
