All done Hando and its on its way back to you - might get there tuesday. It was a bigger mess than I thought, so I reset the bevel and honed it up to 16,000 grit. I taped the spine to protect it, so future touch-ups should have one thickness of electrical tape on the spine or have the bevel re-set if you want to forgo the tape - the tape saves wear and flattening of the spine, though.
As for the other guy, in all fairness he may have forgot where he was up to - took a telephone call or a lunchbreak and something - we're only human, aren't we, after all.
I took a few before and after pics - they might not give a good indication because its only a cheap lo-res USB microscope:

It's a bit hard to see, but there is a definite burr/fin on the before pics that is broken off in places.
See if you think it is any better when you get it back. It's a nice blade to hone, but it is liable to overhone very easily, which leaves that troublesome burr!
