I have both a nespresso and a moka pot. However, I rarely use the nespresso these days (although the milk froth thing gets used by my wife).
Apart from the fact I like having freshly ground coffee from whole beans in my moka, which I think has a particular coffee experience that is better than a nespresso, I am influenced by the environmental issues around the pods. Sure, they can be recycled, but that's not nearly as effective as avoiding them all together. But I do not judge!
I am not surprised to see a lot of moka pot fans here. It is to coffee what DE razors are to shaving. In both cases, I like the ritual and quality that is associated with them.
BTW, if you aren't already tossing your used moka pot coffee into your garden, then do so. I gather it enriches the soils nitrogen levels or something like that.
