I have thought for about 20 years that some of the best graphics design is not coming from the Swiss Graphics crowd but from some of the very talented graffiti artists out there.View attachment 29331 Hi guys any feedback on my artwork would be much appreciated and I certainly welcome any constructive criticism
There is some brilliant work out there that really inspires me, it's something I've always looked at and wanted to do !I have thought for about 20 years that some of the best graphics design is not coming from the Swiss Graphics crowd but from some of the very talented graffiti artists out there.

Not at all...feel free to post whatever you like. It's all relevant, it is the history behind where it all began...that's awesome and is also very interesting, I was looking at some of the ancient Egyptian stuff and it's crazy how far back this art form goes, some of the work was amazing. I love the way it has developed, the techniques used and the colours we have today are great but how it was done originally is equally admirable if not more so !Evening mate - I hope you don't mind me posting a graphic on your thread but I hope it's connected -

A medieval tag - if you will. This is the tughra of Suleiman the Magnificent. 16th C. - it was the seal of the caliph, attached to all imperial documents - stamped on all the coins during his reign. Lettering gone crazy - even if you spoke and read modern Arabic this would make no sense. It actually wouldn't have made sense to most of the people at the time. You need to know how to unpick it. It's like a Dutch still life painting - it's allegorical. It's also heavily influenced by Turkic/Persian script. The most obvious motif are the stylised tulips. As I say - a medieval tag. Yours - I.
