I have a shitty normal mirror above the sink and a poor light. No windows. I check my shave results close up at work in the office bathroom.

Top tip: using a paper towel, smear the mirror with a bit of liquid hand soap and polish until it's clear. All the steam in the world now won't steam up you mirror. Trust me, it works!

I use soap, hand or shaving. Seems to work just as well

Spot picking and blemish inspection for ladies are the reasons for magnifying mirrors. I shave without my glasses so magnifying a blur would be pointless anyway.

Finally remembered to try this. What an awesome trick. I no longer have to take the mirror out the bathroom whilst showering then fetch it back. Cheers!

Didn't work worth a tinker's damn for me nor did the shaving cream trick either.

How strange, never fails for me. Needs re-doing every week or so but once done it's back to clear mirrors again.
