interesting, thanks so much. from quick googles I had found this thread that said the razor was a standard service set but that the case could be from this french service set:

I've seen a few on eBay that look like this with the same handle and the case is more blue than green so that could just be lighting here.

also this thread that looked like it was as it came, not mix and match but then that was a long slot head. and this. etc.

I guess there are no standards but it's possible that one of these razors did originally come in the tin.

I actually have that little tech handle from the 40s set too. it came to me with no head or box so I put a new made in china super blue head on it and use it as my travel razor and really like it.

Ah! Good spot. Actually, the thread you posted looks far more blue to my eyes, so yes ... very likely the light.

Mr Razor also shows this alternative Service Set which sports the handles that your have:

these arrived today and I'm chuffed. not sure why but I didn't expect the case to be so small. it's blue on the outside and greenish on the inside. really nice considering how old it must be.

gave the razors a clean with some dish soap and a soft toothbrush and the one that was tarnished cleaned right up. the brighter one has a slightly champagne colour to the handle. really nice. the plating seems in great condition and still mirror shiny on the cap. I'll leave them soaking in soapy water overnight and give them another soft toothbrush scrub and maybe some boiling water? not sure they need anything else really.

I'll have a few shaves with both but think I'm going to sell on the cased one that's in better condition. beautiful but I only need the one to shave with and I'm no collector.

another lovely classic Gillette from eBay. no date code but I've read these were made between 1939 and 1942. I've also seen mentioned the fat handled techs are some of the best shaving. maybe the flat-bottomed plate, fat handle is even better but this seems pretty great. nice weight to it and the handle is comfortable. plating is almost perfect. really looking forward to giving this a try tomorrow.

it came in a bakelite box that could be original since it seems to fit almost perfectly but theres others a similar size anyway and there's some tiny chunks taken out of the bottom of the case so maybe it's just slightly too big. maybe it has worn the bakelite or someone has modified it to make it fit.

I'm not so sure about this, I use both these Techs a lot (with a UK Ball End probably my holy trinity of Techs). The Flat Bottom Tech is a touch milder, than your one and works with really sharp blades, but your one above is probably the razor I own that seems to work with the largest selection of blades.

IMO the made in England diamond baseplate Fat Handle Tech is one of the best shaving vintage Gillettes I have used (of about 20-30 different ones).

Enjoy your new razor!
