That's what I thought Paul but I didn't know if the 1912 came after the patent. Thanks mate.

How do they shave?

They shave superbly, imo. The rigid blade, as opposed to a flexible DE, can be beneficial if like me you are prone to sensitive skin. Give it a go.
 
Absolutely! They shave wonderfully!

Yeah, the "1912" was actually produced from 1919 under the GEM brand and not until something like 1930 under the Ever Ready brand. Prior to 1919, they were GEM Damaskeene. Some of the Damaskeene style curved heads made it into the new range, but largely they were straight caps like yours.

Drop a blade in and have a lot of fun ... forever after :D
 
Thanks guys it cleaned up lovely for something that's 90 years old I'm very impressed. Just waiting for the gems to turn up from connaught along with my Taylors Eton college aftershave
