Afaik, 'sputter' is to squeak when heated.

Anyone know owt about them?

Cor that's a rare beast in England. Do you live in quite an Indian area? I've seen these on markets in Southall, they're apparently made by Malhotra in Hyderabad... you probably already know Malhotra if you've ever had any Laser blades. I've tried Lasers and didn't like them much... Laser is the premium brand, Topaz are more budget I think.

I'm not brave enough to try them, but good luck sir. ;-)

We have a Hindu Temple, umpteen mosques and several gurdwaras that I know of - and anything from the subcontinent is available. Well, perhaps not elephants and tigers.

'Platinum sputtered edge' sounds like a sort of pebble-dash process only more technical. Smooth and sharp are not words that spring to my mind.

Is there no end to the knowledge available here?

I have tried them. People on here don't like them but I would say this:
Decent enough smoothness and sharpness (but nothing special by any means). No irritation for me. Biggest problem is longevity. Both edges will just about give me one shave. If I don't shave for more than a day and use one then I need to start a second one
