Argan oil

Hey guys

Got some pure Argan oil and tried it as a pre shave. After applying, i left it on for about 10min and then lathered up with a nice warm brush with TOB's.
All i can say is Wow [emoji9]
Smooth irritation free shave! Applied a small amount for post shave as well.

Anyone else using it or tried it ??

Yes, sometimes as a post shave. Very good. I use the one from Holland & Barrett
 
Believe FergieBilly been advocating it for a couple of years ago ( apologies if I'm misattributing Billy). I got some with rose oil in it from ' Billy in the Tree ' ( with whom I have no connection ) and found it quite light and pleasant, though a shade expensive to justify to myself.

Another excellent shave with Argan oil....
This stuff is truly amazing!!
It softens the hairs so much and give a quality shave with zero irritation.

Used the Argan alone as preshave this morning and no doubt it's good stuff, face feels great. Not sure it's better than blended oils quite yet but will continue to experiment. Argan is typically included in fairly low concentration, in part because of its expense, in preshave recipes like this :

I also recommend applying it on your face and leaving it for 10 - 15min before lathering up.
Doing it this way gives it time to soften the hairs.

The only time I've been anywhere near Argan Oil was as an ingredient in shampoo and I didn't notice any difference from my usual shampoo.

I don't really like oil on my face prior to face lathering with shaving cream or shaving soap because I don't get a good lather. Oil works well with shaving gel though. I'm basing my opinion on King Of Shaves oil and gel which I used prior to returning to DE.
