Do I need to use barbicide to sterilise a second hand razor or can I use germicide

Would my local hairdresser/ barbers sell me some or is it a trade only item

The usual Bay sell it but lots of sellers have shocking feedback don't really want to use Amazon due to the minimum £35 minimum order value

Any help greatly appreciated

Unless you are talking about straight edge razors I wouldn't worry about it too much, hot water and soap and a gentle scrub with a small brush.
The razor blade itself does the shaving, not the razor.
You can boil the razor in water if it is particularly filthy but for most razors this shouldn't be necessary.
Hot water and soap ,scruby scrub!

As said, a good scrub with an old tooth brush and some hot water will do it, if you need more reassurance drop it into a pan of boiling water and let it boil for a couple of minutes and you'll be good.
