Bay rum aftershave recommendations

Hi folks looking for some recommendations for a decent bay rum aftershave as my Turtleship soap has just been shipped had a look at a couple of aftershaves but would like to see some people's opinions or recommendations as bay rum will be new to me

I prefer DR Harris from the UK and Baldwin and Sons from the USA.

I have Royall Bay Rhum but haven't opened it yet.

Boots Bay Rum isn’t bad at all. It’s a hair tonic but can be used as an aftershave too. Cheap as chips.

This is a good shout

A few drops of glycerine to the bottle (and a quick shake before each use) mekes it even better

That's interesting. I saw some in Boots, picked it up, saw "hair tonic" and put it back down. Maybe I should've just got it?

I'm still loving the Benjamins Bay Rum I picked up a while ago (photo to show the three variants.) Brilliant freshener upper too - especially this time of year. From about a fiver on the 'bay or half that if you've got any Afro-Carib shops near you. While it may not look as fancy, it's the real, made in Jamiaca, deal

I bought all 3 locally in South London for a few quid each.

The Pimento one was the most difficult one to track, it's a touch stronger than the original one, but there's not much difference.

Another vote for Benjamins. I really like the menthol version. A burst of aniseed/cloves and a blast of cooling menthol is a nice way to end a shave.

I'd recommend getting some simple spray bottles from the poundshop to decant a bit of them into.

Resurrecting this thread to recommend D.R. Harris Bay Rum. Such a rich and deep bay rum.

Layrite No. 9 - bloody marvellous and for a bargain, I’ll echo the three Benjamin’s ones. I would love to try the D R Harris one day given @Pedigree ’s report above.
