That's assuming 90s is old. I think there was a break between the 80s and the 90s (and later decades) at many levels. That was when the first non-technical people went online, and the world both got smaller and went faster. It also was a time of major political and cultural changes.90s fashion is in vogue, so that's something
They all pay subs which vary from group to group. Sometimes these are subsidised, for example where a school hall is used. We have our own hall and charge £32 a term, this covers the running costs of the hall, membership fees and the costs of badge work. Camping costs are separate but they are offset sometimes with fund raising. We get money through local charitable groups, Masons, Roundtable, Rotary Club etc which helps with equipment costs.
I breezed past an article today whereby there was a call for Italians to change their word for 'black' because it was deemed racist. This was sparked, apparently, by a 'missing dog' advert, for a black dog in Italy. Ridiculous stuff.I must be out of touch, I bought my Mrs the Only Fools and Horses box set a couple of Christmases ago and we re-watched them all, I don't remember being struck by it being racist. That said, these days everything is something-ist.

Unfortunately, I can't find said article right now. If I stumble across it again I'll be sure to share.
That's the one - as I said I skimmed over it with a disparaged sigh. Sometimes this whole 'racism' thing does get out of hand.It was a Mexican whose dog was called Negro - Spanish for black. Imagine the shit that would go down if these snowflake fuckwits ever found out the name of Douglas Bader's dog.
