We've had a thread about films and shows filmed in your area, but is there a film or show that really personifies your home town - the land, the people, the real feel of the place?

While Gentleman Jack was filmed in my very valley, I don't live in the 1800s ... but being on that border between Calderdale and South Bradford there's 'Happy Valley' which is absolutely nail on the head where I live. Oh, and just a couple of miles down the road there's Buttershaw ... so, 'Rita, Sue & Bob Too' :ROFLMAO:

I use to live on a street in York that was often closed for filming. I still haven't watched any of the films or television dramas shot there.

I used to work in Oxford and would see Lewis and Endeavor filming.

Until recently I worked at a film studio and would see the film sets. The last set I was on was the Sonic 3 house. Very cool.

There was an independent film made in Hartlepool a few years ago called the can house, about a bloke in town who decorated his house with empty beer cans. It was all quite bizarre, but captures the attitude of the town quite well
