Just found a lovely green razor on the big river site last night - sage green ceramic coated zamac head and ceramic coated solid brass handle - closed comb - good weight at 84 grams ( 3 ounces ) - balanced and the best bit - it was only £8 quid - the finish looks reasonable for the paltry outlay and the thread is tight.
Same day delivery for an extra £1 quid is handy on a Sunday too.
I don`t mind 4 ounce solid brass razors but a medium weight, medium width handled one with good grip is a preferable.
I can also put a Yaqi flipside dual comb on it or a Yaqi scalloped - I don`t care what colour or metal it`s made of - mix and match - as long as it performs.
Just took it on a test-drive with an unbranded blade - fabulous - smooth - close - no nicks - no irritation - no problemo.
I had to put it in an impromptu silicone water resistant case because there`s no space in the bathroom.
