Interesting 7 o'clock blades

Bought these recently. What I thought was interesting is that although they have the Gillette 7 o'clock logo and have a Gillette date code (j4) and Gillette arrows, there is no mention of Gillette.

Well, interested me anyway!

Even mentions the trademark and the patent.

These don't shave brilliantly by the way. No dragging or soreness but not very close

Well Gillette did buy out the 7 o'clock company... I guess it was in their interests to run them as separate brands (as you'll also find 7 o'clock razors that are clearly Gillettes carrying the brand) - maybe to catch out the unwary that didn't want to be caught shaving with the razor equivalent of the iPhone?

Shame I can't see the photos... no chance of them being knock offs is there?

On a related subject, does anyone know if 7am blades are a knock off of 7 o'clocks, or are they a separate company?

7am are made in Bangladesh... quite possibly from melted down Indian Rupees (since a Rs.1 coin yields Rs.5 worth of razor blades...) and that's a big issue in West Bengal where all the small change has vanished...

Hey......that isn't such a bad idea. Get a razor blade factory set up in Greece and use melted down Drachmas to make the blades.....voila......Greek national debt sorted.
