Oh and Z26 is now becoming Z27 going forward
So true! I didn't have arthritis in my thumbs when I won a prize for neat hand writing - yes! me! - a copy of 'Wind in the Willows' which is on my bookshelves to this day - somewhere.Only if you lack motor control, you probably need to change your grip.

It arrived, feels like a great pen, fits the hand nicely. Had a quick go with the supplied cartridge, feels good too.
It certainly did, looks cool eh. My itention was to get the blue one but then I saw the purp.I rather like that dark lilac colour....
Did it come with a black nib?
And since the dark lilac one is a LE edition I'd say that was a smart moveIt certainly did, looks cool eh. My itention was to get the blue one but then I saw the purp.
It does look nice. The dark lilac ink is certainly worth a try.
It does look nice.
Next week Im going to order a bottle of Diamine Onyx Black and possibly a 30ml bottle of Billberry.
Whatever you do...do not go to a FP forum and ask for what the best black ink is...
Not only will you get 20 different answers but you will suddenly 'realize' that you now care about archival properties, water-protection, etc, etc....etc..
Good to here, I picked the right pen.Richard Binder has a primer on inks in the Reference Pages of his website, http://www.richardspens.com
My preferred inks are Watermans and Diamine.
BTW, as a seasoned collector of fountain pens, the Lamy Safari is one of my favourites: well made, well priced, well designed and reliable.
What nib did you get on your Lamy btw? F/EF/?Good to here, I picked the right pen.
I'll check out the site today.
