Sorry to resurrect my thread only to take it slightly off topic, but I have both pairs of shoes (linked earlier on this thread). The brown Hush Puppies are great - comfortable I mean. The Solovairs feel like DMs that I remember but I still have that terrible foot pain from wearing them. One day, maybe four or five miles, quite a lot of pain. It's the built-in firmness of the soles, and possibly that unpronounceable medical condition, that's the problem. I want to wear them but after a second day with some added insoles I was in more pain. Today I have worn the Hush Puppies and although I still have foot pain it seems left over from the last two days. In total I've done two days in the Hush Puppies and approximately the same mileage.
I don't really want to endure this all the time and don't want to carry the shoes on the train to work each day to change into. I've ordered some memory foam insoles and some gel ones too. I hope these do the job. Can anyone give any advice?
I hope to wear again the Solovairs and some decent Clarks I've also only worn twice.
Thanks in advance.
