Another simply excellent shave, smooth and efficient, what more could you ask for? The weight and balance is in the Goldilocks zone for me, not too light or too heavy, add to that a head design that aides finding the optimum angle for a shave and I love the plus plate, efficient yet never feels like it’ll bite. Add to that the handle… probably the best I’ve used. The thick, chunky knurling just seems to work. For me.
The Proraso was a joy as always, used with Proraso green and PAA Awesome Sauce made for a great Sunday shave.
Onto the open comb tomorrow to see how that goes but for me so far the + plate is the winning combination.

Haven’t been on a lot this week due to online work commitments.
All finished now so thought i would top it off with a wonderful shave.
Everything was just right.
The Pal is a class underrated vintage and a 10/10 shave was had.
The brush is a little beauty,
I never thought i would get on with these smaller brushes but again they are first class and iv got a good few so i better get used to them lol.

We managed to see the Family today, good.that little sister excitedly greeted us and proudly showed her brother off. Very pleased that all has gone well this time, after last time with time spent at Great Ormandy Street.

I'd quite forgotten just how much I enjoy these ASR double edge razors. I've collected a few under the Star, Treet, Personna & PAL brands and having enjoyed the last couple, I'm going to make a week of it. The Personna Comfort Coated is a perfect pairing. I bet the Personna Platinum Chrome is even better.

Trying the Kai blade for the second time... a bit less 'harsh' than the first time around, but still felt like there was a bit of a drag on the first pass. However it was one of the closest first passes I've ever had, and the whole thing ended up being a very close shave with less irritation than usual. Perhaps the Kai blades will grow on me yet.
Hampshire Wool Fat No.2 was excellent - performance the same as No.1, just overall less scented (d'oh!).
