My Zenith B07 is another boar brush I seem to neglect. To begin with I found the brush would eat lather, and it's definitely improved on those grounds but I find it's complete lack of backbone I imagine would lead to be a better brush for bowl lathering opposed to face lathering, like I do myself. For today's shave, I found the brush was a little less floppy than I last remembered it being, but still required a slightly different technique to build a lather with, and I managed to get enough lather for 2.5 passes which is a sign of a success using this brush! It lost quite a few bristles during the shave, and a few more when I was drying the brush a little with my towel at the end of the shave. It may be unfounded but I find bleached bristles to be a bit more brittle/break more than their unbleached counterparts. I'm going to try to give the brush a bit of an extended use to see if I can develop a greater appreciation for it.
The blade was definitely finished on the shave before, it had degraded for today's shave and was incredibly rough and uncomfortable, I really should have changed the blade mid shave but couldn't muster the energy to do so.
Not one of my best shaves, my face wasn't feeling fantastic at the end of the shave so I finished the shave with the Signature Soaps Danum splash which has quickly become my go to post shave option if I've had a bad shave, and as always it did a superb job.
Have a good start to the week chaps.
It does work. I have switched over to this as my daily shaver. Still look to other razors for when I have 3+ days of growth. But the Henson gives me the best combination of comfort and closeness on a daily basis.
