Splinters in her crotch

A woman from Los Angeles, CA, who was a tree hugger, a Democrat, and an anti-hunter, purchased a piece of timberland near Colville, WA . There was a large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her. In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch.

In considerable pain, she hurried to Mt. Carmel ER to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a Democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters. The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her.

She sat and waited three hours before the doctor reappeared. The angry woman demanded, "What took you so long?"

He smiled and then told her, "Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a recreational area. I'm sorry, but due to ObamaCare, they turned me down."

Thats not very funny to be honest..ALOT of people here are annoyed that Obama is taking too much time to get money distributed to states that have none including those states affected by Katrina...as well as small businesses here that still cant get any financial help including my mother in law who has her own business

No idea what this thread is about but I don't think it belongs on a UK-based forum.

Maybe we could have a section of the forum that would be a little embassy (or perhaps military base) of Badger & Blade on our otherwise British domain?

Over here (the UK) we have the wonderful National Health Service. Unlike God, it certainly isn't perfect but it imitates him in that it's saved my life at least once and it treats all people the same.

Being paid for by taxes it is always underfunded (healthcare being a bottomless pit). It is also over-used (because it's perceived to be "free") and generally taken for granted (at best; ingrates complain about it at length) but I've lived in countries with other systems and imho there's only two that compare with the NHS: Canada and Cuba. (You might have heard of them? They're quite near the US.)

Am I a raging red Socialist? Well, maybe (by Republican standards almost certainly). But I'm basically pro-life (anti-war, anti-abortion -- although I appreciate there are exceptional cases in both of those areas -- and strongly environmentally-minded) and on the whole the NHS does a damn fine job.

Hope you've both got guns and can settle this at high noon.

Can I add France and Holland to that list please Rev? Nothing but excellent healthcare (for everyone!) in both these countries :D
